Sports Therapy - Wendy Munro

Wendy first qualified in 1997 with the Federation of Holistic Therapists – www.fht.org.uk  and then in 1998/9 with the London School of Sports Massage – www.lssm.com. She is also registered with Scottish regulatory body, the ‘Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation’ – www.scotmass.co.uk. Wendy has been treating people at the Riverdale Centre since it opened in 2003. 

Sports Therapy offers a wide range of treatments to benefit everyone, not just those from a sporting background.  These include:-

Sports Massage for:-

• Detection and minimization of injuries
• Recovery from injury
• Stretching tight muscles, softening scar tissue
• Improving circulation

Remedial massage for:-

• Recent or long-standing back, neck or shoulder pain
• Restricted joint range of movement
• Tension or stress related pain
• General relaxation

G5 mechanical massage

Injury management for conditions such as:-

• Strains & sprains
• Tennis or Golfers elbow
• Ankle or knee injuries

Exercise Therapy, using specialised software, for:-

• Injury rehabilitation
• General fitness
• Sports specific training
