THE PULSE - Health Food Shop in Scotland

Our healthfood shop stocks a wide range of organic products, ranging from basic everyday items to local gourmet produce. We have a weekly delivery of freshly-baked organic breads and also local organic vegetables and herbs. We have a well-stocked chiller cabinet filled largely with locally made organic produce such as prize-winning cheeses, oak-smoked Scottish trout pate, a wide range of non-dairy alternatives to cheese, etc. Finally, we stock many gluten-free and vegan products for those with specialist diets.

We also have an extensive range of vitamins, herbal remedies, and homoeopathic remedies, oils and ointments. Any other specialised alternative products we can order within a few days.

We are proud of all our different suppliers, small and large businesses alike, all of whom believe passionately about healthy living. Our main supplier is Suma Wholefoods, an extremely inspiring and helpful co-operative who are currently celebrating 30 years' of trading. They have a particularly strong support of Fair Trade projects, and we stock as many Fair Trade products as we can - all our coffee and most of the teas we serve in our cafe are Fair Trade, for instance.

We ourselves try and function from as green an ethos as possible, using environmentally-friendly packaging and, for example, Ecover refills for customers requiring household cleaning items.
